One of Türkiye’s leading financial technology institutions was looking for a solution that would modernize its IT infrastructure while also meeting its data sovereignty requirements. The organization wanted to deliver higher performance for its critical applications, increase infrastructure flexibility and, in particular, scale CPU and storage resources more flexibly.
Although the database servers in the existing environment had low average processing utilization, the systems could not be scaled dynamically during processing-intensive periods. In addition, local and international regulations applying to the financial sector required the organization to keep its data in its own data center. For this reason, a private cloud architecture was evaluated as the most suitable solution.
In line with these requirements, the organization deployed the Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) platform in its own data center. Within the project delivered by InspireIT, the Exadata Cloud@Customer infrastructure was implemented, bringing the flexibility and performance advantages of cloud technologies into the organization’s data center.
Following the project, the organization renewed its database infrastructure and achieved far higher database performance compared to the previous environment. Batch processing performance improved across nearly all workloads, while some ETL processes saw performance gains of up to 3x.
With Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer, the organization gained a high-performance, scalable and regulation-compliant database platform, along with a modern and flexible IT infrastructure to support its critical financial applications.
